1. By "weak" I meant flawed as people, not necessarily physical wimps. They may very well be manly, action-hero types, and maybe even good at their jobs.

2) We don't like to think of ourselves as herd animals, but we are. As apes, our herds are better organized, with an alpha leader, hierarchy, internal competition and all the rest. There isn't that much difference between a herd and a pack, except pack animals like wolves and apes have more layers in their hierarchies. Herds have many followers, and maybe one leader.

But most of us follow and do what we're told, usually led by someone who's fundamentally weak (see no. 1 above). But we make ourselves feel better by congratulating ourselves on how independent and self-reliant we REALLY are. Have you noticed how those in our society who are most conformist, controlled, orthodox, regimented, dependent on the social order and organized are the ones who are always talking about "freedom"? As Lawrence Peter once put it, "If you can convince everyone they're rugged individualists, they'll never organize against you."

3) Now that you mention it, lately, fashion models and other paragons of beauty (like Miss America contestants) have been putting flesh on their bones and curves on their frames. Perhaps this is due to the modern propensity of women to exercise, and engage in sports. The ladies on "Dancing with the Stars" are stacked. However, I do recall when I was more interested in keeping up with such things, the ideals of American feminine beauty all looked like 12 year olds with big tits. There are trends and fashions in such matters. If you watch a lot of old movies like I do, there was a time (from early 50s to late 60s when the girls were all too skinny. But I'll stand by my remarks on the pout.

1. The appearance of having it all together doesn't mean they have it all together. Your comments on weak men demonstrate this fallacy. Many of the so called weak men give the appearance of having it all together. Cops, athletes, and other alphas are common abusers. They may be weak but they do not appear weak on the surface. I assume we agree that abusers are fundamentally weak.

2. Since we are apes the pack/herd comparisons are not really valid and any similarities are only equally interesting. If I were picking I would choose the pack as a better fit since apes are better known for alpha types and herds are better known for Judas goats and the ever popular "herd mentality".

3. Your comments on the female preferences of weak men says more about your personal preference in women than it does about the reality of relationships. I have never noticed that fashion models pout as part of their off camera personality. They certainly have hips and they almost never have big tits. They are no doubt flawed in many ways but frail, quiet, and meek doesn't ring true to me

Weak men are probably drawn to weak women regardless of their body type. My personal impression of the weak man female preference based on my observations are almost 180 from yours and are probably equally prejudiced, but I certainly don't associate weak men with fashion model types as any sort of rule of thumb.

Men with issues of self worth are attracted to women with issues of self worth and vice versa. It becomes a recipe for abuse, with the physically dominant in the role of abuser. Naturally, this is usually the male.

Remove the lack of self worth from either side of the equation and it can often be a therapeutic relationship. If not it will usually end in divorce without any abuse.

plus, I always think of a euphemism as a socially acceptable substitute for something considered distasteful/taboo by some.

A tornado flew around my room before you came
Excuse the mess it made, it usually doesn't rain
In Southern California, much like Arizona
My eyes don't shed tears, but, boy, they bawl

When I'm thinkin' 'bout you
(Ooh, no, no, no)
I've been thinkin' 'bout you
(You know, know, know)
I've been thinkin' 'bout you
Do you think about me still?
Do ya, do ya?

Or do you not think so far ahead? (Ahead)
'Cause I been thinkin' 'bout forever (Oooh, oooh)

Or do you not think so far ahead? (Ahead)
'Cause I been thinkin' 'bout forever (Oooh, oooh)

No, I don't like you, I just thought you were cool
Enough to kick it
Got a beach house I could sell you in Idaho
Since you think I don't love you, I just thought you were cute
That's why I kiss you
Got a fighter jet, I don't get fly it, though

I'm lyin' down thinkin' 'bout you

Yes, of course
I remember, how could I forget?
How you feel?
And though you were my first time
A new feel
It won't ever get old, not in my soul
Not in my spirit, keep it alive
We'll go down this road
'Til it turns from color to black and white

Or do you not think so far ahead? (Ahead)
