		<description>I think that problem went away over time as debit cards came to be used as credit cards interchangably.  The people you hand the card to usually don&#039;t even ask if there&#039;s a credit line attached to the checking, any more.</description>

Must be paid in full every month. Not cost-free--there is a small annual fee. It was the first major credit card I ever got that wasn&#039;t from a department store, and the iron discipline of not being able to &quot;roll over&quot; debt probably saved my young ass.

We have several conventional Visa/Mastercard cards nowadays, with rates ranging from 8 to 16 percent.</description>
