I spent some time looking around that site, and I suspect you wouldn’t like much of it. Political “dead baby” jokes.

Frank J. Fleming is listed in Wikipedia as an “American columnist, author, and satirist.” I suspect from some of his writings that he has committed Christianity.

I pointed out the disconnect between a religion of love and that hate filled “satire.”

The ice is thin on both sides, Tom. Atlanta Olympics, Oklahoma City, Abortion clinic bombs, westboro church harassment, patriot movement, McCarthy’s path of destruction….when was the last time a democrat dragged someone behind a truck because they were a different race?

We could go on all night, ’till the thread compromised the window in unsightly and unreadable ways, trading evidence of evil.

Python is funny. This was offensive.

It’s too late in the day, and the thread perhaps, to keep explaining why.

A lot of people don’t think the Black Knight skit is funny either, or the Three Stooges.

But when you start to riff on Christians/conservatives and violence, the ice is a bit thin to say the least. I picked out two groups. You’re welcome to add as many as you want. Want to do street gangs?

The percentage of fundamentalist Christians and militia types is between 5-10%. The rest are the same kind of Christian that call themselves Liberals. The conservative extremists are offset by an equal number of liberal extremist of various types including communists, anarchists, druggies and other unsavory types.

I have no doubt that there are a fair number of liberal fundys. Union members usually vote liberal and a good few of them are fundamentalists.

First cast out the beam from thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother’s eye.

By the way, Christians are expected to love their neighbor but until the status of neighbor is attained, a lot of smiting goes on

We are not enemies. We are all Americans trying to figure this shit out.

I don’t deny your list, on the right column, anyway. But include other groups, from both sides, and documenting the violent stupidity would overwhelm the server again.

Let me make it clearer:

We can do better.

But we won’t.

And that makes me cynical; and, sometimes, like today, a bit angry.

But not enough to punch you in the face for your twisted logic.

One of these was a joke. Along the lines of a Monty Python skit where everybody gets blown up or somebody’s arms and legs get chopped off. Or Sarah Palin is depicted in cartoons getting punched in the face or shot.

The other involves a long list of real damages to real live people and property.

Its just wrong.
