The ex son in law got laid off two days ago. The very reason he is in Boston was Symantec.
This whole divorce shit really took a toll on me. I saw both sides of the story. Suffice it to say, when my ex son in law first approached my husband and I about asking my daughter for her hand in marriage we asked him if he had any idea what he was in for.
She ran him ragged. I will never let on to her I feel this way.

I just told my granddaughter the other day that if Mommy gets to complaining about her daddy too much...that she can either come to me about it...or tell Momma to stop. My daughter has a PhD. in venting out loud.
Life is nothin' but heartache really. It is about how much you can filter out before you go insane.

At first, I had my daughter on weekends. Then my crazy-ass ex (sorry did that sound bitter?) found a man in New Orleans and had to move there with my daughter. Legal wrangling ensued (where the amount I paid in the divorce settlement would depend in part on how much of the time my daughter spent with me, so of course my crazy-ass ex [sorry again] wanted me to have no visitation at all. Just put them on the plane, say byby, and keep the checks coming, honey, and why does a father need to see his daughter anyway? Fought that and won summer vacations with daddy.

This became a bit of a grind because I was working about 50 hours a week. I had my parents to keep her company, but I had to drive her to their house in Sylmar (about 25 miles away) every morning, drop her off, go work, pick her up, take her home (or make a bed for myself on the floor, if I was too beat to make it)...

Then my parents decided to move to Santa Maria (160 miles away) and things got really complicated.
