Like anything else….we go along…go along…wiping our butts with quilted toilet paper until we run out and all we have until we get to the store is newspapers. Pissed off and shit on we read the newspaper before we start wiping and BAM a story that just chaps our hide, a story that has played out countless times before, catches our eye.By god! This will not do. Something has got to change.
We go to the store. We buy the quilted toilet tissue and we begin to settle our happy asses down, once again to the mundane. The angry, beleaguered, fizzles spurts and chokes on good intentions. Meanwhile, the cat, who was in the way after one of these sit down sessions, cowers in the corner because it doesn’t want to get kicked again for being in the wrong place at the wrong time when the beleaguered angry get their panties in a bunch . Again.

Someone asked what would have happened if the races had been reversed, and it turns out there’s an example with parallels that are so similar as to be almost made-to-order.
