Raggedy Man July 19, 2013 9:45 pm FrankC

And The Raggedy Man one time say he
Picks

    roast rambos

from an orchard-tree.
And ate ‘em – all while roastin hot!
Ain’t he the beatin’est Raggedy Man?
Raggedy! Raggedy! Raggedy Man!

Rhymes of Childhood
James Whitcomb Riley

My Mother must have read this poem to me a hundred times when I was a youngster. I liked it but I suspect that she liked it more.

It has been driving me nuts trying to find out what in the hell is meant by ROAST RAMBOS. I have exhausted my search skills. Can anyone help me with this?
