That's the "saturation" problem.

One of the main problems with a search is when either a news cycle or a famous usage (other than the one you want) occupies multiple pages of a search.

A consistent problem for me is trying to find old articles on a current news subject. I have to use the date restrictions, and even those don't work that well.

Obviously a search on "Rambo" produces a lot of Sylvester Stallone, but as you found, itemizing it a bit more closely with "apples" or especially "Raggedy Man" solves the problem. The only issue then was to read past all the simple repetitions of the poem itself until I saw one reference containing a definition.

Once you associate Rambo with apples, there are dozens of hits referencing apples called rambos but oddly when you search just rambos I couldn't find a clue.

"Rambo refers to a large cooking apple and apple variety that has a coat streaked with red."

From a footnote on this page, scrolling about halfway down, or do a text search for "raggedy" (page 230)
