I checked in at 5AM had the surgery about 10AM. They kept me over night as a precaution, I guess, and released me about 10AM today.

They hook you up to an EEG while the surgery is going on to monitor any problems during the time the blood supply is interrupted. You wake up with your head covered with that goo they use for tests involving electrodes. By the time you are in a room afterward that damn goo is very close to the consistency of candle wax. That was the worse part of the procedure.
