I spent some time in Toronto once, and could not get over how clean, safe and well-run the place was, and how fundamentally decent and level-headed the people were.  For a while, I considered emigrating to Canada, and even started the paperwork for my landed residency status, but I was in the middle of school at the time and that took precedence over everything. Eventually it fell through the cracks.

And no, I wasn&#039;t trying to avoid being sent to Viet Nam.  I had already been there.</description>
