Can’t prevent these as long as intoxicants are available. No great loss when the users are killed.

The tragedy is when they kill someone who isn’t loaded.

When I was 16 I “stole” my brother’s 25 foot Carver which was moored at the local marina. I took a buddy fishing at night and we were hauling ass back to marina when looked up to see I was heading straight towards the south end breakwater. I cranked the wheel hard left and missed it by 100 yards. That may not seem too close but the boat and us would have been nothing but splinters if I had noticed 7 seconds later.

One of those 9 lives things.

…about a charter yacht. Miami, I think. The Captain turned back half way to St. Martin’s with a load of fashion photographers. One of the crew found white powder and a rolled up dollar bill in one of the photographer’s cabins.
The Captain was LIVID. I was impressed. Big Time.
