Every post said it was messy as could be, and I decided the hell with it. I called the local Jiffy Lube, knowing I'd get stabbed but had no choice. They said they could do it, I added 5 quarts of expensive oil and miraculously the scrunched filter didn't leak. Drove there, the Manager asked if I just wanted the filter loosened. Yep. OK. If you brought a filter we'll put it on, and if you brought some oil we'll top it off. Well, OK. The guy loosened it with a wrench almost as wide as the filter, they replaced the filter, topped it off with my oil. I was ecstatic. Delighted. The Manager said I could drive it away, no charge. No, really. No charge. Where do you guys usually eat lunch? There's a Subway right up the street. I got five $8 gift certificates and gave every employee on duty one. It was cheap.
