To say there are no hate groups that use those terms is bullshit and you know it. Alex Jones tries to make it sound like the manual is critical of those ideas, and not the hate groups who happen to be using them in their own twisted way.

All that matters is in the field, the Rules of Engagement, which are the standard by which you write up the after-action report. They tell you what to say happened.

That training is designed to keep very fundamental people happy, not to guide actions or attitudes. Those you will get in an effective oral tradition and it will be up to others to interpret actions in order to justify them.

They are NOT going to look past your initial link. Try and link to original material when you can, or at least some “canonical” source like the NYT or Huffington.

P.S. Drudge in particular is not fussy about his sources. It pays to do your own spadework.

I even downloaded that pdf, although I must admit, I did not read all 133 pages of it cover to cover. What I did read did not strike me as being particularly seditious, just very, very boring boring: Bureacratic boilerplate for enlisted social workers on air bases. Not exactly a Wannsee document for Obama Nation.

However, I’m sure anyone reading this will be free to click all they want and see for themselves. I’m not going to waste my time detailing why I think this hillbilly Hitler and his goombah website are not worth a second look. Everybody here is free to do so for themselves.

What I can’t understand is why you insist on covering for these troglodytes. Surely you can’t take anything seriously this guy Jones is pushing? The man has hair on his teeth. Its not like he hasn’t been quoted here on this forum before. I never heard of him myself until Jody posted some of his nonsense a few weeks ago.

He just might have gotten this one right, though. I’ve always felt, from long experience of growing up in the South, that incessant talk about “states rights”, “freedom”, and “individual liberties” is often just camouflage for good old-fashioned home-grown American racism and fascism and other forms of conspiratorial anomalism, Confederate pornography and right wing Onanism.

C’mon Steve. You’re an astronomer. How can you take this nutjob seriously?
