The more things change, the more they stay the same. September 4, 2013 6:41 pm bowser

http://worldnews.nbcnews.com/_news/2013/09/04/20327765-bagram-prison-another-guantanamo-in-the-making?lite

For crying out loud, Guantanamo is still open, and now a Pakistani repeat Pakistani human rights group is complaining about American practices in Afghanistan.  There are enough laws against terrorism that if the US has a case they should make it in court.  If they don’t, respect the rule of law.  This is truly Bush league.  Obama should know better, certainly promised he would do better.

“ISLAMABAD, Pakistan –The Bagram prison in Afghanistan is at risk of becoming the next Guantanamo Bay detention facility with some inmates being held without basic legal rights, a Pakistani human rights law firm said Wednesday.

“The majority of these detainees are Pakistani citizens; some were cleared for release in 2010 yet remain trapped in indefinite detention,” Justice Project Pakistan, a non-profit organization that provides free legal services for poor prisoners, said in a report.”
