And that’s not good, and I wasn’t trying to make light of it. It’s just that the weird headline caught my eye, and not the first time. I started noticing clumsy headlines in the San Jose Mercury-News early in the century, about the time they were bought up by some huge chain, which “streamlined” the paper by gutting it.

I guess it’s just me. I laugh when I see a sign on a door “This door is alarmed”, and try to reassure it–the door–that there’s nothing to be alarmed about.
