Without disturbing the stuff on the table. Only in this case, the tablecloth is a wet sponge and the stuff on top has to be moved around to get at the sponge. Much of the moving is easy; I’ve always been a fanatic about things on wheels, especially those metal shelves you can get at Costco, but with wheels, and over the years have put most of the storage room items, in plastic tubs, on the shelves with wheels.

Still, my office is empty, I’m in makeshift quarters with my computers on a fold out table, network cable running over the bare concrete floor, next to a window and a fan, because it does, in fact, stink down here, already. Less than it did though; as more and more of the soggy carpet gets removed and the exposed floor gets the borax treatment.
