Yes, we sought ‘em. In the Autumn.

And we caught ‘em in the Autumn.

And in the Autumn, when we had to, we fought ‘em. In the Autumn.

They fall, in the Autumn, and we fall. In the Autumn. Because, in the Autumn, we got ‘em. Some of ‘em, anyway, and a lot of others, too. They would fall, in the Autumn.

And the ARVN, oh, we taught ‘em in the Autumn. No boots, they call ‘em “sneakers” for a reason. In the Autumn, and on into the Winter.

The Autumn of Saigon was what we bought, taught, that was our lot. Oh, a mistake! It was the Fall of Saigon, not the Autumn of Saigon.

duo. Nothing takes me back to my high school days faster than a little S&G. Odd, one of my high school friends just posted about the death of a fellow classmate soon after we graduated. I had moved away by then, but I was punched in the stomach when I heard about it. She was the first of our class to die. Our valedictorian was soon to follow.
