<description>Here&#039;s a good one, from Paul Harvey:

A man was pulled over for erratic driving. He was failing the sobriety test, when a collision occurred in the other lane. The police officer called for backup and, telling the intoxicated driver to remain where he was, went to direct traffic around the crash scene. Backup arrived, but the authorities seemed to be ignoring the drunk, more concerned with the occupants in the wrecked vehicles.

Eventually, the drunk got tired of waiting and drove home. At home, he told his wife what had happened, instructing her that, no matter what, no one was to know he had gone out that evening.

The following morning, the police were at the door. True to her husband&#039;s story, she informed the officers that he did not drive anywhere the night before. The police asked if she could open the garage, so they could look at the car. She insisted it was all just a waste of time, but complied with the request.

The door was opened, and there it was. A beautifully polished city cruiser, with red and blue lights still flashing.
