The dialogue was so trite, the plot so corny it seemed to have been written for 11 year olds. I was never able to start another of his books. The last of his I read was probably Rainbow 6 - which had sort of a moral of "peace through superior sniping". Still, all great adventure fiction. Sad he's left.
