If you like "feel good" movies, (I don't just like them , I need them), this 2012 film is for you. It was in a list of best time travel movies.

Safety Not Guaranteed
A team of journalists are dispatched to find out who's behind a classified advertisement seeking a companion for time travel, with payment on return. After tracking down their oddball prey, the team has to decide how best to approach their subject.

If you are a Netflix member it streams for free.

"Timeline" (2003), with Billy Connolly.

As an FYI, "Time After Time," mentioned above, includes a rather famous time traveler, a very young "Mary Steenburgen," made famous again in "Back to the Future III".

Cheers.

Of course, Rod Taylor's "The Time Machine." "Time Bandits" was an easy hit. For an interesting change of pace, though, try "Time After Time (1979)." In this one, Jack the Ripper steals H. G. Wells' time machine, and Mr. Wells (Malcolm McDowell) must chase him to 1979 Los Angeles.

...But I really do like 'em all.

"Twelve Monkey's" was brilliant. The recent movie "Loopers" shouldn't be ignored just because it is recent. It was excellent.

"Primer" is considered by many to be the best ever made, but we are talking about movies and I can't ignore the shabby production values and weak acting in that one.

I had to refresh my memory on "The Lake House" I'd have to kinda call "chick flick" on that one. It was pretty good but for me it was obviously forgettable.

Having referred to a list, some other I have seen that deserve mention:

"Back To The Future", franchise
"Terminator", franchise
"Butterfly Effect"
"The Time Machine" They have yet to do justice to H.G.'s masterpiece.

The Outer Limits TV series had some of the best time travel stuff on TV or films. It was better than most of the movies available.
