Jet engines for landings and takeoffs.

A load of propellant and a rocket engine in the back for getting up to suborbital speed (about Mach 3) and high altitude (beyond 90,000 feet).

Cargo bay ejects small payload connected to another small rocket assembly (two stage) for final orbital run.

... The F-117 Knighthawk used nose gear from the A-10, and mains from the F-15. The B-2 Spirit used the landing gear from a Boeing 767 passenger jet.
