The nation pays for your unhealthy smoking habit and addiction and millions like you who are un-insurable because they either drank themselves into a stupor or were the liberal rebels who got off smoking or doing drugs as soon as they could. Or eating themselves to super-size status without ever wanting to deal with the consequences of their actions

The real irony is that the poor and stupid will die in droves over the next decades because the Obamacare they get will be the healthcare they deserve provided by the politicians they elected.

I remember when HZ joked about Darwin Awards - well the left is lining up in droves to be able to compete for millions more of them every year now.

The elitist liberal world has at last come to fruition. Fuck - it's fucking glorious! Gender is optional, drugs are wonderful, morals are obsolete, fuck is a verb, noun, adjective and preposition and everyone is a total headcase with their own therapist, list of real and imagined mental disorders and prescribed pharmaceuticals to go with them. Every liberal kid gets their own trip to the psych ward these days after cutting themselves and worrying about the loneliness of their pansexual existence.

They will get to grow up and live in California-style sanctuary cities with non-citizens who will be waiting in the same three month long line to see a doctor and then dying due to crappy and delayed care.

Watching the liberals crap all over the future generations feels like being a fireman who resigns and lets the house burn because it is beyond saving.

All lies. From global warming to caring for the poor. It's all just about self interest and power.

Survival.

You versus everyone else - who can go fuck themselves when push comes to shove.

At least you're finally honest.

You might remember that I have a serious preexisting condition. ObamaCare makes it possible for me to get health insurance. At all.

Under the Republican Freedom® Plan, I'm free to die.

No matter how much you try to complicate it by sniping at the edges, it's really that simple.

It's about cancellation due to ACA standards.

50 to 75 percent of the 14 million consumers who buy their insurance individually can expect to receive a “cancellation” letter or the equivalent over the next year because their existing policies don’t meet the "standards mandated" by the new health care law.

The law states that policies in effect as of March 23, 2010 will be “grandfathered,” meaning consumers can keep those policies even though they don’t meet requirements of the new health care law. But the Department of Health and Human Services then "wrote regulations that narrowed that provision", by saying that if any part of a policy was significantly changed since that date -- the deductible, co-pay, or benefits, for example -- the policy would not be grandfathered.

…“So it's true that there are existing healthcare plans on the individual market that "don't meet those minimum standards and therefore do not qualify" for the Affordable Care Act.

Couldn’t get past my “excitement”??? Thought you knew me better than that. Guess not.

Hopefully soon you’ll be able to sing the praises of the ACA. Until then…

...at all living in those states where Republican governors and legislatures are desperately and systematically putting obstacles in the path of Obamacare, for the sole purpose of obstructing and embarassing the President and furthering their own political careers by pandering to TParty ideologues.

And what about those millions who were being priced out of the health insurance market because they lost their jobs, or their benefits, or because of rising premiums, or simply because the companies want to stick it to them because they are not profitable risks?

You guys are really breaking my heart. Medical costs skyrocket, and affordable health insurance is getting harder and harder to get, which is why we needed something like Obamacare in the first place. And the Republicans simply didn't care, you fought it tooth and nail because it wasn't happening to your lot, just to those OTHER people that don't seem to matter all that much to you. Where was the GOP alternative to Obamacare? What was their program to help control rising medical costs? Now the recession is trickling down to YOU and all of a sudden you're singing the blues, aren't you?

Do you guys really think if Obamacare goes away your insurance problems are suddenly over? Do you really believe premiums will drop and services improve in your laissez-faire entrepreneurial paradise? You'd better hope you don't get your way, because if you do, your troubles are only just getting started.

A one-year delay will not occur unless it is because of Republican mischief.
