How many American businessmen should have been jailed in the wake of the junk bond matters all the way up to the financial collapse engineered by the Bush Administration? Having read several books on the subject I can tell you it should be several thousand.

But the US fines the companies involved about 5% of their profits and calls it good. I’d rather see ‘em in jail, and maybe avert the next collapse.

Article here. For charging the real prices in a country ravaged by inflation instead of prices at the "official" exchange rate. This cycle of destruction has many precedents in centrally-planned economies. If you have a profit margin limited by law to 15 percent and inflation is 54 percent, your maximum inventory hold time before you start to lose money is about three months. If you're selling grapes, this might work. High-end hardware, autos, and electronics, not so much. Note that the $35 toaster selling for $175 at the official exchange rate is selling for $17.50 at the actual exchange rate. Concepts like this are incomprhensible to dictators like Maduro. And many political leaders in our own country.

That some will come along and make sure that as few people as possible (including especially themselves) will benefit from windfall wealth? That the less law and more injustice that there is in a place then the easier and more certain those goals are to achieve?

Reserving the profits for the citizens of the country, depriving Western mega-corporations of those profits.

A capital offence, calling for the expenditure of US taxpayers funds for the assassination of leadership, funding coups, fomenting unrest.

Describes what is wrong with this country quite succinctly. The US is the witting tool of mega-corporations, spending money and the lives of it’s military in their thrall.
