And, if I do say so myself, I'm pretty damn good at it. Watched way too much BBC, worked with Scotsmen and Canadians, often deal with Appalachian Southerners whose accents are damn near un-understandable.

Happens with prose, too, damn it. Spend a few days reading a good strong voiced author and I'm thinking like they write.

Apparently it is quite common, (I don't think I do it).

I might giggle if I heard you do it but don't feel bad, they say it improves communication with the foreign person.

Never realized that Frank. BTW....I have another quirk...and maybe you can find out if there is a word for it. When I converse with someone with an accent...of any kind..British...German..Mexican..Southern, Bostonian...I find myself almost immediately picking up the accent myself. I am compelled to do this and eventually someone is going to think I am making fun. I am not! I can't help it!

Apophenia /æpɵˈfiːniə/ is the experience of seeing meaningful patterns or connections in random or meaningless data.
The term is a misnomer incorrectly attributed to Klaus Conrad[1] by Peter Brugger,[2] who defined it as the "unmotivated seeing of connections" accompanied by a "specific experience of an abnormal meaningfulness", but it has come to represent the human tendency to seek patterns in random information in general, such as with gambling, paranormal phenomena, and religion.

I have a serious case of this. I often see faces in floor tiles and I sometimes consider tracing out the images to demonstrate what I am seeing. It is a mild psychosis shared by ufo folks and Jesus shaped potato folks. I think it is a fascinating thing.

Nice drawings btw
