The latest and greatest set is called The Final Cut. It's got multiple versions for your viewing enjoyment.

Yeah, kids these days. Hope the room was dark, phones off, no pausing for pee breaks, some kind of surround sound...atmosphere is everything.

I didn't ask him and he didn't say. I think my fears of him finding the movie "dated" were well founded. In my high school there was a big buzz about the chestburster when the movie first opened. Everyone was talking about it. The scene was spoiled right off the bat but it didn't lessen the effect when you first saw it. I for one had never seen anything like it. Nor anything like the alien.

Kids these days grew up on rotten.com and other real life gore sites. They play video games that were built to scare the crap out them. And they find movies like "The Human Centipede"- funny. They seem to have become jaded and desensitized. Not much surprises them.

Which version??? I want the one I saw in theaters!

With "Aliens" I had the choice of theatrical or 'directors cut' and chose the former. Even on that version there was at least one added scene where "Newt" had gone out with her family to alien ship and her dad came back with a facehugger. It detracted from the first time you saw Newt crouching in the darkness. Glad they left it out the first time.

What did the kids think about Alien(s)? (You do know that during the famous chest busting scene, none of the other actors knew that there was a blood pack before it blew...)

Which version of Bladerunner? I prefer the one without the narration. If you wind up getting two versions, one with the narration, and one without, which would you watch first?

Okay, that was three questions.
