I’m a former Porsche owner, and pretty familiar with the Carrera GT supercar. I thought I remembered it having a black box, (it was originally designed as a ‘Le Mans Prototype-Class’ racing car)

Some Carrera GT’s were equipped with the Event Data Recorders, and some were not. The Cops are trying to sort that out now.

An interesting note; while watching a different newscast showing the same security cam video you referenced, I heard the reporter say the fire did not begin until approximately 1 minute after the collision.

If true, that really alters my original impression of the event.
