It is an alias, an AKA, and researching it will NOT lead to the real identity of the person known as “ER”.

So you are at least half right, “ER” is not “ER”. It is something like Elis Reclus, something on that order, and even than may be just one more layer of anonymity. It’s a mystery.

When one goes ‘up the line’ one is shed of much of his being-ness, his essence, and becomes more and more difficult for him to even find himself.

After a while “ER” will not be able to trace himself back and become forever locked in a series of spurious, random aliases.

If anyone invites you to go “up the line”, don’t go. And if you do, deny “up the line” even exists. It’s your only hope, and that’s a slim one. We’ll see what happens to that being we know as “ER”. He is in the denial stage now.

I think most boards have a rule about posting under different names but it is a harmless thing and gives the impression of a more diverse membership.
