My closest friends would probably have been much worse than Howard. They were so bad that I decided that as bad as I was i didn't want to be as bad as they were. I walked away from them and that life and never looked back. I guess I am thankful that they gave me a glimpse of where I was heading. If you can't do the time, don't do the crime. I never got over liking those guys but I stayed out of their affairs. I was more like Howard than you but it was more like 50-55 years ago.
