She had to eat the other stuff to finish the challenge.

See rules here. She did so after the filming, and won the challenge.

There are apparently other restaurants that have this challenge. Here's another.

My usual steak order at a good steakhouse is a 6 to 8 ounce filet mignon.

It really works but it can be dangerous. You have to do frequent urine tests to make sure you are not in metabolic acidosis.

Still doesn't seem like a little woman like her could put 6 lbs of anything in her stomach without getting sick

I believe the deal is that, if the 72-ouncer is devoured within an alotted time, the meal -- if you could call it that -- is free.

How many people could be fed at one meal with 72 oz. of beef?

How many people could be fed with the grain it takes to raise 72 oz. of beef?

Hey, I enjoy my steak as much as the next guy, but this isn't even a culinary exercise. This is the sort of thing the Romans used to do.
It's binge eating as a sport. Gluttony for public amusement.

And I have one question. How can that skinny little girl put away that much food and not gain weight?

Actually, I have two questions. Where the hell is Canadia?
