Remember, your job is simply to hurt. That's all you have to do, they do all the work and have all the responsibility. That narrows it for you. Just relax, and hurt. Let them do their thing, knowing if you die they will look bad so they would rather that didn't happen. And remember, I'm here for you, a bundle of cheer, a role model for handling discomfort. Well, maybe that last isn't true, but I do know that other people can handle things with grace and dignity. Seriously, good luck and relax.
