Signs in my neighborhood. April 2, 2014 10:29 pm bowser

There is a church with a readerboard which gets changed about once a week.  Often it will say something like “Chris and Sharon – Best Wishes”.  Lately it has said

“Jesus is Lord”, and then later

“Take up your cross”.

I don’t know what those mean.  Maybe Christians do, but they seem silly to me.

On the other hand, there is a tobacco shop with a readerboard which says

“CAMEL      ROLL YOUR OWN      $4950

Now that I can understand.  If you want a “relationship” with a camel, buy one.  Keep it in the “family”, no sense having a camel out there that can blab to anyone.  While they seem a bit expensive, but I don’t know what a camel is worth.  They might be worth a used car, certainly they are invaluable in some circumstances.

The tobacco shop makes more sense than the church.
