I have always believed that Earth will be around long after we are gone. Don’t you? If we become poisonous to the planet the planet will kill us off and go on it’s way. It will heal itself as it chooses until the sun consumes it.

He said the Earth is getting hotter, tides are rising and we need to mitigate. What’s the beef? Perhaps he didn’t explicitly condemn humanity enough to suit you. I didn’t hear him say we are not complicit. Try this

I am mystified that a liberal would find anything he said objectionable or as dumb as a bag of Al Frankens.

I can only believe that either you failed to understand what he was saying or you are mimicking some respected fountain of liberal thought who has some other ax to grind with NdGT.

Dutch Professor Richard Tol has resigned from the Climate Panel of the UN. Professor Tol disagrees with the biased negative conclusions of the latest UN climate report. The consequences of climate change are being systematically over-estimated, according to him. “The Panel is directed from within the environment lobby and not from within the science.”

Former NASA scientist says gobal warming is nonsense.

“If you talk to real scientists who have no political interest, they will tell you there is nothing in global warming. It’s an industry which creates vast amounts of money for some people.
“The reason records seem to be being frequently broken is simply because we only started keeping them about 100 years ago. There will always be some record broken somewhere when we have another natural fluctuation in weather.
“Its absolutely stupid to blame floods on climate change.
“This is not the way science works. If you tell me that you have a theory there is a teapot in orbit between the earth and the moon, its not up to me to prove it does not exist, its up to you to provide the reproducible scientific evidence for your theory. Such evidence for the man-made climate change theory has not been forthcoming.”

Earth is Safe From ‘Global Warming’ Say the Men Who Put Man on the Moon

The planet is not in danger of catastrophic man made global warming. Even if we burn all the world’s recoverable fossil fuels it will still only result in a temperature rise of less than 1.2 per cent.
So say The Right Climate Stuff Research Team, a group of retired NASA Apollo scientists and engineers – the men who put Neil Armstrong on the moon – in a new report.
“It’s an embarrassment to those of us who put NASA’s name on the map to have people like James Hansen popping off about global warming,” says the project’s leader Hal Doiron.
Doiron was one of 40 ex NASA employees – including seven astronauts – who wrote in April 2012 to NASA administrator Charles Bolden protesting about the organization’s promotion of climate change alarmism, notably via its resident environmental activist James Hansen.

ps. Your conclusion is most certainly not universally shared by scientists. An active volcano is a factor, to be sure…but it can’t hold a candle to the effects of billions of humans.
