I consider myself a bit of a rocketry fanatic, and would turn down just about anything in any amount, if I could just sit on a Canaveral beach for a year and watch rockets being launched. Then, it might become so boring that you’d have to start paying me. Then, you probably couldn’t pay me enough to sit through a single launch.

Enter Apathy.

Indifference, Wearisome, Boredom, Lethargy, Monotony, ending with a strong helping of Insignificance.

That which comes around, goes around — and around — and around … and around again…

Eventually, it’ll all go away. Then it’ll start all over, just to be something new and exciting — for a while.

Once you’ve experienced a live battalion-wide night fire with M16 and M60 tracer-fire, 90mm recoiless rifles (AKA bazookas), with you in command of the 81mm illumination and high explosive hits, and with Cobra air support and Stinger-fire taking the top off a couple mountains, all without the slightest bit of moon in the sky — fireworks just sorta lay there.
