Mosquito netting is a must for the region.

It&#039;s as though there were two basic breeds of mosquito in Panama, one for evening, and another for morning.  Around 1 to 3 AM they&#039;re difficult to find, but, yes, when they rise for feeding, you can actually hear the hum.

I tell people that the swarms are so big, they&#039;ll just get together and drag you off into the jungle, kicking and screaming, for that late night snack later on.</description>

		<description>One of the surprising beauties of the jungle is its absence of unnecessary noise, motion, activity.  Just pick a nice tree, prop yourself against it, and doze.  In my life, even now, many years removed from Panama, the memory of that jungle environment sets my pace, in life, with family, with friends.  People coming to my table sometimes have trouble slowing to my lack of haste.
