Lightning Map August 7, 2014 7:10 pm podrock

So, I’m watching the pre-season game of the Broncos vs. the Seahawks, a rematch of last year’s championship game, at Mile High Stadium. It’s delayed right now, for lightning, which is pretty normal for August along the Front Range.

Time for map porn, and here it is: Lightningmaps.org.

I’ve been playing with this for a couple of months now, whenever the atmosphere is all charged up with a thunderstorm, and it’s pretty cool to see where the lightning you saw or the thunder you heard originated. Even to the point of knowing thunder is coming.
