TB has brought a lot of life, thought and discussion to the HZ. It is the rare person who can stimulate so much, of everything. A rare talent, and evidence of a sincere passion.

I can accept that TB represents a significant proportion of the population. I am in awe of the vigor he brings to those topics he chooses to comment upon while not finding myself able to reconcile his expressed beliefs with my values or beliefs. That means we disagree, our values and beliefs are opposed, and yet I don't doubt he is sincere. Misguided as the devil, from my point of view, but articulate and passionate. He defends the indefensible with vigor.

If I ever shot someone to death, had his wallet and car keys in my hand, had had a 10 year affair with the guy's wife, and was found by the Dalai Lama, Desmond Tutu, Billy Graham, and Mother Teresa standing over the body with a smoking gun in my hand muttering "I had hoped to kill him with the first shot", I would want TB for my defense lawyer. I'd have a chance.

The comments and rebuttals following the doggerel are well worth taking the time to plow through. No winners or losers, but I think both sides give a good account of themselves.
