Traitors to their class September 13, 2014 4:50 pm ER

Tomorrow, Sunday 9/14, on PBS, Ken Burn’s latest historical documentary on “The Roosevelts” (Theodore, Franklin and Eleanor) will air on Public TV. You will recall Mr Burns’ excellent, award-winning documentaries of the recent past, including “The Civil War”.

The Roosevelts were among the most influential forces in making the America, indeed, the Free World, of the twentieth century. They put an end to the Gilded Age, Busted the Trusts, started the conservation movement, invented social democracy, got us through the Depression, saved capitalism, defeated Fascism, and in half a century made America the greatest, richest and most humane world power in human history. The world today would be a very different place if they had never lived. Find out for yourself why these children of wealth and privilege are now so loved, and so hated.

Check your local listings.
