One of the episodes makes a reference to finding the next job or they can't keep flying. Definitely an homage to Firefly.

Now I get it. This should be interesting, with the Empire ascendant and the Jedi fallen and cowering in the shadows.

Did you pick up a distinct <i>Firefly</i> vibe among the crew? Even though they kept staging cockpit scenes to precisely mimic all those scenes in the Millenium Falcon to evoke IV-VI, their personality "layout" and interpersonal relationships mapped pretty well to Firefly. Geek Girl, Femme Fatale, Raging Psycopath, Stoic Captain, Lost Waif (transmogrified to a male). Not to mention the whole scratching-out-a-living-in-the-shadows avoiding <strike>Alliance</strike>Imperial entanglements flying around in a beatup rustbucket schtick. If frontier planets start looking (more) like the Old West, Joss Whedon could sue.

But good enough.I'll watch the rest of it. Thanks for the tip, Steve.

My son and I watched all of them yesterday. Aside from Spark, there is no necessary order, or none that I could tell, since the episodes aren't numbered. Sadly there doesn't seem to be much of a story arc crossing all of the episodes so far.

One of the things I really enjoy is seeing the tie fighters from the original trilogy. They get a lot of play in these episodes.

The characters are all likable, which is an improvement over the CloneWars preachy ObiWan and broody Anakin. Lots of potential here. The art is also really good, with the exception of the wookies, which look like Gumby.

Would that be "Rise of the Old Masters"? It was first on the page at the URL you gave, but on the front page of the site there's a different order. The story felt early, but the lack of backstory told me I started late.

There's a double-length episode listed called "Spark of Rebellion" with a blurb about "a dark time. The Jedi are no more..", which sounds like the bridge between the first and second big story arcs. Is that the origin story I should have watched first?
