OK, no one really thinks Republicans actually believe this nonsense, any more than they believed Obama’s Kenyan Socialist Muslim birth, or concentration camp round-ups for gun-toting conservatives, or Obamacare death panels, or Bengazi. But Republicans know that the hallelujoid trailer trash constituency they depend on to win elections do believe it. So people like Abbot, Cruz and Perry pander to these drooling, inbred banjo pluckers shamelessly, not even caring any more we can plainly see them doing it. And those who aren’t demagogues themselves look the other way and say nothing, pretending to see and hear nothing, hoping to surf to victory on yet another tsunami of tshit coming out of Texas.
