The CNN hot air balloon October 28, 2015 4:19 pm Robert

Wolf Blitzer and Some Guy chewing on the story about a loose aerostat meandering up the East Coast

Watch Wolf ask worriedly about the frightful risk posed “because of the flammable nature of helium, right?”, and Some Guy say “Right on, Wolf!”. But Some Guy goes on to reassure us that A Pentagon Spokesman reassured him that the blimp is pressurized, and because the pressure drops when the balloon comes down, the risk of a helium explosion decreases as well. Watch Some Guy talk about the inch-and-a-half thick cables mooring the blimp, and point at an electronic cable dangling from a box on a picture of the aerostat to illustrate the point.

I’m so relieved to hear that there’s no danger of a Helium Conflagration.
