If ever one needed proof that the Russians are actually more competent and intelligent than the Japanese, the responses to Chernobyl versus Fukushima have proven it.

At this moment, YEARS later the efforts to contain the radioactive leak have been insufficient and failed and the global media has shown that they are complete pawns of industries that want to keep it out of the news cycle. Radiation every day washes onto the Western US coasts and travels across the Pacific, killing fish, collecting in shell fish and wrecking havoc on ecosystems.

The Japanese engineers are idiots. After this much time a sea wall could have been built and lowered into the waters around the reactor and then concrete pumped in till a Chernobyl type barrier was in place. Its inexcusable. The Japanese are BOTH incompetent and lack engineering creativity. And the rest of the scientific world is twiddling their thumbs like idiots.
