It’s war. We can’t expect our enemy to sit quietly in their home and wait their turn to get bombed. Rather, they’ll come at us with the worst they can muster.

It’s hardly unprecedented. In WW2, allied planners quickly realized that while a ruined factory could be rebuild in short order, a killed factory worker might take months or years to replace. Hence, it made more sense to bomb residential neighborhoods than industrial complexes. We went at them with the worst we could muster.

You have not approved of the internment camps, nor did I say you had.

I am pointing out that the two positions:
1) The camps were justified, and
2) We need to deny refuge to the refugees..

Are rooted in the same fear and bigotry… folks like Malkin just have no shame in admitting it.

History will look on the folks barring the refugees in much the same way…

There are two alternatives.

One: That a tragic mistake was made, in communications, chain of command, or elsewhere. The NATO report isn’t out yet.

Two: That the U.S. military deliberately and with malice aforethought set out to destroy a known non-aligned medical facility that they knew contained no combatants.

It would be instructive to know why you so desperately want to believe the second one.

I resent the implication that they are that stupid.
