I’ve just watched the video of the Chicago Police shooting of a young black suspect a year ago.

You’ll probably hear a lot more about it in the near future. A FOIA court has finally forced the video to be made public, and the officer has been charged with first degree murder–on the same day! They couldn’t delay either any longer. But its probably too late, justice has been delayed too long, and it is finally being implemented only because they have no choice. They have been exposed. I don’t doubt there will be riots and civil unrest over this video. Maybe there should be.

No, every black kid shot by police is not an innocent victim. And not every cop that shoots a black kid is a racist thug.

But the Black Lives Matter movement is real, it is right, and it is long overdue. The presumption of innocence for the cops has to stop. The Blue Wall of Silence has to be torn down, the destruction of evidence has to stop. The looking the other way and the “covering for our brothers”, black or blue, has to stop.

This is not political, and it may not even be racial. Chicago is run by Democrats, including Rahm Emmanuel, a former Obama White House official, and he is being implicated in the cover-up. This story is going to be big as the news trickles out. Very big and very ugly. And I fear there will be violence. Maybe that’s what it will take.

This shit has got to stop or this country is finished.
