A Roman Catholic church I regularly drive by (and which my kids attended) has a readerboard by the road. Often it says “Congratulations of Maxine and Harry” or “Best Wishes Joan and Sam”. Understandable.
But right now it reads “Jesus is Lord”. And it frequently reads “Christ is King”. Sometimes “Worship our Savior”. What the hell do those mean? Do they have some significance for the True Believers? Christ is King of what? Jesus is Lord? Is Jesus British? What does “Lord” mean?
Someone is stark raving mad. Maybe all of us.
