Books you can read over & over December 1, 2015 12:02 am podrock

Inspired by Jody.

Before I travel, I always forget to go to the bookstore and choose something new to read while I am sitting in some stupid concourse waiting for a plane that keeps getting delayed another fifteen minutes every five minutes. Or standing in that 45 minute security line with not a minute to spare. That was this afternoon.

So I often stare at the bookshelf thinking, “do I want to re-read that?”

Then, there is the calculation of how long I might need to be reading verses how much bulk I can carry. Will I have access to decent reading material while travelling? IF I get started on a series, will I then feel compelled to read another book?

Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit, etc.

Some, but not all, Pynchon.

Anything Varley. Or Stephenson. Heinlein not so much, anymore.
