And you know, I believe him. I don't think Trump really wants to kill anybody. But I bet he has a lot of followers who do. There's a lot of people out there who are just dying for an excuse to kill somebody. They just want the assurance they'll get away with it. They have no moral or practical compunctions about getting rid of someone they see as a traitor, a criminal, a pervert, or ungodly. Maybe not all of them are Trump followers, and maybe most Trump followers don't feel that way. But there's a lot of Travis Bickle in the American soul. But he says that in spite of that, he doesn’t want to kill them.
