I thought she looked great, don't know what some people were complaining about. By showing it's age, I mean the story is predictable. You know your on a roller coaster. All three present the same movie. Imax, as I'm sure you know, offers a gigantic curved screen, and 3D sadly still requires the use of polarized glasses. Thankfully though, 3D is now SOP for big Hollywood epics, so finally it's become less of a distraction from the story. We saw Avatar in 3D, and in the hands of a good director it enhances the experience rather than dominating it. I've always been a bit of a sucker for animation, though. I was hooked on it after one episode in particular that took place entirely on a ship that was falling uncontrolled out of orbit. That half-hour sped by so fast it reminded me of the Falcon making the Kessel run in 12 parsecs. Yeah, The Clone Wars has it’s flaws, to be sure. But damn its nice to just turn the brain off and watch the adventure. I mostly saw this with nostalgia as well as through my younger kids' eyes who have been eating up the franchise for the last couple of years. There were some really dumb things in the latest episode, but it wasn't enough to dampen my feelings for it as a whole. I look at this film as a base point to jump into new stories and it fulfills that role just fine. I’ll admit I get annoyed at Star Wars more than I do at Trek. It isn't a kid show, but it also isn't really for adults. There is a mix of stuff for kids and stuff that is entirely inappropriate for kids younger than 10 IMO. This is a show that can go from a scene with mildly annoying kidlike banter between Anakin and Osaka (or whatever the girls's name is), to a pull away view on space of thousands of dead clonetroopers floating in space. My kid was too young for it, so when he started trying to watch with me I stopped watching it altogether. I may watch it with him in a year or two though.
