Tom may not remember, but I recall the exact circumstances because of the timing. I remember the moment distinctly because in spite of all of Trump's strident birther BS, TB had not said anything, pro or con, about him or the birther controversy prior to that time. And to his credit, his repudiation of Trump came <em>the day before</em> Obama skewered Trump at the White House correspondent's dinner and roast, on live TV in front of god and everybody. You will recall that event; Obama was good-naturedly dismembering Mr Trump just hours before the Navy Seals took out Osama Bin Ladin. No Drama Obama. Maybe its none of my business, but it seems a little harsh and unfair to put someone on the spot like that, Bowz.
