‘Course, Rob, that post did draw my eye too, because you’ve complained in the past about being lumped in with the most extreme elements of the right…and then you go and channel them with that post. You really filled out your bingo card with all the right’s ranting points with that one.

So maybe RL was, by his standards, actually being gentle. In his trademark gonzo way.

Without looking up links and graphs and such, here’s where I stand.

I love the “Wall”. It’s way overdue. From what I could find, illegal immigration costs the US tax payer 50 to 300 billion dollars a year. I’m not buying the “economic contribution” of illegals angle. It’s a wide swath I know, but we should be able to build a wall in a year or two with the savings.

The thing to do is to somehow help Mexico and Central American countries overcome the problems that are causing the migration.

As far as Making Mexico pay for the wall, well that’s BS. Don’t think it will happen.

On the foreign front, I think Trump can negotiate from a position of power. He’s not a pansy. Could anyone imagine Obama telling Gorbachev “tear down this wall”. I don’t think so.

Trump’s a successful business man and knows how to turn a profit. Maybe that’s what we need in Washington. Sure he filled bankruptcy but he came back from it. With his leadership maybe we can.

He’s talked about the $900 the military spends on toilet seats to sit their asses upon. The problem with national defense is, there is no accounting, just like our healthcare system. Not many people know what costs are or who should be accountable.

Bowser is right, we spend more per capital on health care than any other country and get less for it. I’ve reached the point where I’d like to see a single payer system. I recently saw a story where a woman in Seattle pays $259,000 yearly on each of her two kids to keep them alive. They have cystic fibrosis.

And then you see this mother fucker ,Martin Shkreli testifying before congress about why he increased the price of a leukemia drug 5000% shortly after he took over the company. He pleaded the 5th. This is the type of capitalist that your side uses to paint the whole system with.

I really like Bernie Sanders. I like his stand on healthcare. His views on wall street. I can’t stand his push for a $15 dollar/hr “living” minimum wage. We’d be cutting of our collective nose to spite our face. You’re just going to see prices rise and take away all of the gain. 3 months maternity leave? How’s that fair to people without kids? I’d like to club “W” for the child tax credit. I’m sorry but these ideas and those like “universal income” don’t belong in this country.

Is trump going to start WWIII? I really don’t think it matters. It’s going to happen soon enough. Carpet bombing? Yeah, of military targets, not civilian centers or swaths of jungle.

I am so sick and tired on hearing this Nazi/bigot bullshit. And so are a lot of other Americans. The wall won’t be built (if ever) to keep brown people out, it’s intended stop those that sponge off of us. With respect to Muslims, it’s not about stomping out a religion, it’s about recognizing the threat of Muslim extremists.

Long story short, I’m not worried about Either Trump or Sanders wining the Whitehouse.
