But I think Trump’s days are numbered. His performance at the last debate was disappointing to his followers, and his enemies landed punches and drew blood. The myth of invincibility has been pierced, and his followers demand invincibility in their authority figures.

They must justify their pathetic adulation for him by talk of “dissatisfaction with the establishment” or some other such high-sounding and profound philosophical excuse, but he has a black eye and a swollen lip now, and his enemies are still there, spoiling for a fight. The realization that he may not be the arrogant champion the right wing authoritarian mind demands to protect it from the evils, real and manufactured, that lurk in the real world is finally sinking in.

I suspect Trump will soon be gone, but his followers will still remain, ripe fruit to be plucked by the next fascist demagogue to arise from the stagnant swamp of reactionary envy and spite. And the next one, will not be an absurd buffoon. He will have been watching, and he will have learned. Trump may fade, but the ignorance, fear, hate and greed of his admirers remains. Its the stuff nightmares are made of.

BAIER: Mr. Trump, just yesterday, almost 100 foreign policy experts signed on to an open letter refusing to support you, saying your embracing expansive use of torture is inexcusable. General Michael Hayden, former CIA director, NSA director, and other experts have said that when you asked the U.S. military to carry out some of your campaign promises, specifically targeting terrorists’ families, and also the use of interrogation methods more extreme than waterboarding, the military will refuse because they’ve been trained to turn down and refuse illegal orders.

So what would you do, as commander-in-chief, if the U.S. military refused to carry out those orders?

TRUMP: They won’t refuse. They’re not going to refuse me. Believe me.

BAIER: But they’re illegal.

TRUMP: Let me just tell you, you look at the Middle East. They’re chopping off heads. They’re chopping off the heads of Christians and anybody else that happens to be in the way. They’re drowning people in steel cages. And he — now we’re talking about waterboarding.

This really started with Ted, a question was asked of Ted last — two debates ago about waterboarding. And Ted was, you know, having a hard time with that question, to be totally honest with you. They then came to me, what do you think of waterboarding? I said it’s fine. And if we want to go stronger, I’d go stronger, too, because, frankly…

… that’s the way I feel. Can you imagine — can you imagine these people, these animals over in the Middle East, that chop off heads, sitting around talking and seeing that we’re having a hard problem with waterboarding? We should go for waterboarding and we should go tougher than waterboarding. That’s my opinion.

BAIER: But targeting terrorists’ families?

TRUMP: And — and — and — I’m a leader. I’m a leader. I’ve always been a leader. I’ve never had any problem leading people. If I say do it, they’re going to do it. That’s what leadership is all about.

Trump told Wallace that his program “had an ‘A’ rating from the Better Business Bureau,” a nonprofit organization that reviews millions of businesses by request and rates them on a scale from “A+ to F.”
The BBB website does not currently list a rating for The Trump Entrepreneur Initiative. It says that is “because BBB has information indicating it is out of business.”
But, in a statement to a reporter with PolitiFact.com, a Better Business Bureau spokeswoman said that “over the years, the company’s BBB rating has fluctuated between an ‘A+’ and a ‘D-.’ ” The spokeswoman declined to say when the program received the “A+” rating.
However, the most recent rating that we could find for the program was a “D-” in 2010. That is based on news reports from the Washington Post and the New York Times in 2011, and the New York Daily News and the BBB’s own website in 2010, as recorded by the Internet Archive’s Wayback Machine.

Donald Trump assured American voters Thursday night that despite what Marco Rubio had suggested, there was “no problem” with the size of his hands — or anything else.

“Look at those hands, are they small hands?” the front-runner for the GOP presidential nomination said, raising them for viewers to see. “And, he referred to my hands — ‘if they’re small, something else must be small.’ I guarantee you there’s no problem. I guarantee.”

According to the 9/11 Commission report, not a single hijacker had a wife, girlfriend or family member in the country in the days and months before the terrorists executed their plan.

But that won’t matter to his brainless followers…

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump responded to Mitt Romney’s searing broadside on Thursday with one of his favorite put downs in the race for the GOP nomination.

“He’s a choke artist,” Trump said at a rally in Portland, Maine, referring to the former GOP presidential nominee’s failure to defeat President Barack Obama in 2012. “We cannot take another loss. Mitt is indeed a choke artist.”

Romney lambasted Trump earlier in the day, calling the businessman a “phony” and a “fraud,” and accused him of “playing the American public for suckers.” The speech was a stunning development and the clearest sign yet that the GOP is fracturing over its new front-runner after his dominating performance on Super Tuesday.

In his speech on Thursday, Trump called Romney “a failed candidate” who “failed horribly” and claimed he “begged” for his endorsement during the 2012 presidential race.

“I could have said, ‘Mitt drop to your knees.’ He would have dropped to his knees,” Trump said, to laughter from the audience.
