But the greatest blame is reserved for those who arrived last, who somehow feel entitled to think that they, and they alone, have any right to the land. How quick they are to forget that it is only a matter of time before their turn will come.

Aliens may eventually become US citizens, and/or they may have relatives here who are already US citizens and are working for them. By passing immigration laws favorable to aliens, Democrats create vast numbers of new Democratic Party voters. So the Democrats are exploiting aliens politically just as much as as the Republicans are exploiting them economically.

And both Democrats and Republicans really think Hispanics, particularly Mexicans, are too stupid to figure this out for themselves. Can you imagine how insulting this is? Can you imagine how much contempt Hispanics have for those Gringos who not only are using them for their own purposes, but patronize and insult them by not realizing how obviously and clumsily they are going on about it.

Even the Cubans, who unlike most Hispanics, have sucked up to the Republicans because they’ve used the Red Scare and other cold war fears and paranoia to negotiate themselves a sweet little special deal from the GOP, are fully aware of this. And they won’t soon forget it.

There was Spanish being spoken in many Southern and Western American states for a century before the English and Dutch landed in New England, two hundred years before America became an independent nation. You are the FNGs here, not us.

You want to stop illegal immigration, start punishing illegal employers. It really is that simple: hire an illegal, go to jail. No walls, no guards,
nada. And you won’t even have to spend money to deport them. They’ll self-deport.

Like most other problems in this country and the world, if you dig deep enough you’ll find some capitalist is responsible for it.
